    China Nearly Ready to Launch Crude Oil Futures in Shanghai, Securities Regulator Says

    China’s preparation to allow the trading of crude oil futures on the Shanghai Futures Exchange is nearly complete, according to Fang Xinghai, vice chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC).

    Fang made the annoucement Friday at the 2nd International Futures Forum, held in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province.

    CSRC is the ministerial-level body directly under China’s State Council, and oversees the country’s securities industry.
